In this class you will learn how to quilt, by layering and basting a quilt for hand or machine quilting. If you are a “newbie” and want to learn to make a quilt, use your walking foot for machine quilting or learn to free motion quilt. She will give you open-sew-support at the times listed on the calendar, for you to complete these class projects only. This is not an instructor lead class, just an opportunity to come in and complete her class offerings and ask any questions you need, free of charge. Support is what Sew-n-Such is about. We are your “Creative Sewing Community.”

Pillow Of the Month - Rosalie Pelham
The first month we will construct a throw pillow with piping, no zipper and no floppy corners. Each following month we will make a wrap to go on it for holidays or seasons. Padded and shadow appliqué, cutwork, and couching are just the start. Other techniques will be added by student request. 3rd Saturday of each month. Series enrollment required, four classes total.

Serger Quilt - Diane Boone
Want to create a quick and easy quilt? Then this project is for you. It's great for beginners, those who are refreshing their sewing skills or those who just want the satisfaction of finishing a project quickly. We will create a lap size quilt using the serger or sewing machine. If you wish to finish your quilt in class, be sure to have fabric strips cut prior to class. If you would like assistance in fabric selection and cutting, that can be done during class but there will not be enough time for you to finish constructing the quilt during class time. Supply list is available upon registration.
